DESCRIPTION:
The auditorium and high volume stage area of the Tawes Theater
have been converted for new use as both Academic Space for the
Dept. of American Studies and the addition of eight new classrooms. Six of these spaces are General Purpose Classrooms which include two 100+ seat tiered collaborative lecture halls; one 78 seat collaborative classroom; three collaborative General Purpose Classrooms at 30-35 seats; and seminar.

SPECIAL FEATURES:
A cafe was added on the second floor of the building, and the
American studies department moved its offices from
Susquehanna Hall to Tawes Hall.
